Uninstalling MetaMod
Re: Uninstalling MetaMod
Hi awengraf,
metamod 2.8c, if installed only as the module (not MetaMod Pro) can be uninstalled like any other 3rd-party module on your site:
- go the the Extensions->Install/Uninstall menu
- click on the "modules" sub-menu
- find "mod_metamod" in the list
- click in the checkbox next to it
- click on "uninstall" at the top right of the window.
Cheers,
Stephen
Re: Uninstalling MetaMod
If it's not in the list, but if some files are still on the web server, then something went wrong in Joomla when you tried to do the uninstall.
MetaMod is a completely standard module in terms of installation/uninstallation. It does not create any additional database tables etc.
The places where you should delete files are:
/modules/mod_metamod/*
/language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_metamod.ini
If you have any MetaMod modules showing up in the module manager, then you should be able to delete those from within the module manager. If not, you can delete their entries from within the #__modules database table.
Hope that helps,
Stephen
