MetaMod Recipe Help Needed

MetaMod Recipe Help Needed

Hello,
We would like to use MetaMod to display a URL for logged in users on the homepage of our site. The URL is a user application that's hosted elsewhere on the site. It can either display an article instead for guests, or nothing. What would be the correct recipe for that? Thanks in advance. smile

Re: MetaMod Recipe Help Needed

Hi,

If you just want to display a "custom html" module with a link to the other page on the site, and only for logged-in users, then you don't need MetaMod. Just create the module as usual, and use the "Access level" selector in the module to select "registered". Then it will only show up for registered users.

If you want to swap in a different module for non-registered users, then you could set up a MetaMod. First read the Quick Start Guide so you know what you're doing, then do a little pHP rule like this:

if ( MM_LOGGED_IN ) return XXX;
else return YYY;
// replace XXX with the module to show for logged in users, and YYY with the
// module id to show for non-logged-in guests.

Cheers,
Stephen
