Is it possible to show MetaMod on specific search pages for Jreviews?

Is it possible to show MetaMod on specific search pages for Jreviews?

Hello,

I was wondering how I can use metamod on Jreviews search results pages depending on what the user searches for.

A perfect example of how I would like to show this module, when a user searches in Jreviews for listings in Los Angeles(a field) and a food type (another field).

mysite.com/index.php?option=com_jreviews&Itemid=43&url=search-results_m43/query:all/dir:1/jr_city:los+angeles/jr_genre:Japansese/order:rating

But if a user searches for Los angeles and Chinese food they get another module.
mysite.com/index.php?option=com_jreviews&Itemid=43&url=search-results_m43/query:all/dir:1/jr_city:los+angeles/jr_genre:Chinese/order:rating

and finally if a user searches for another city like san francisco and Japanese they would get a completely different module
mysite.com/index.php?option=com_jreviews&Itemid=43&url=search-results_m43/query:all/dir:1/jr_city:san+francisco/jr_genre:Japanese/order:rating

Is this possible??

Re: Is it possible to show MetaMod on specific search pages for Jreviews?

Hi Ninthwall,

I'm sorry I can't investigate this fully right now as I am about to go off-line for a week to spend time with my family.

How I'd approach this though: turn on MetaMod's Advanced Debug mode and see what comes up. One of the comparisons may be something like:

... and JRequest::getVar("url") == 'search-results_m43/query:all/dir:1/jr_city:los+angeles/jr_genre:Japansese/order:rating' ...

If so, that's quite a complex thing to check for every permutation, but it's not hard to write a snippet of PHP code that breaks it down into parts so you can check them individually.

If you're good with PHP you can do that yourself, otherwise can I ask you to wait until mid next week and I'll work on something for you?

Best regards,
Stephen Brandon
