Metamod can stop a module or a menu?

Metamod can stop a module or a menu?

I have joomla Version 1.5.14 + VirtueMart_1.1.3-COMPLETE_PACKAGE.j15 + com_swmenufree5.2_J1.5 + mod_j15mainmenuimages + modmetamod-2-0

So i have use swmenufree to make a menu on top. I use mainmenuimages to make a images menu on left and on right. I install virtuemart and i want the menu from right side to be off when i on virtuemart. The menu from right i want to be active just when i am on top menu. I install modmetamod because i read he can do this. But is doing just 50% from what i need.

So when i use virtuemart i want the menu from right to be off because he will extend my tablel from midllel. I mean modmetamod is not make the menu off is jut hidding him. I try to make menu from right to be active just when i am navigate on menu from top, but i still see a empty space there when i am n virtuemart..

I hope you understande what i want and sorry for my bad english.

So the question is : can metamod be stoped by condition and to be active just when i want?

Re: Metamod can stop a module or a menu?

Hi zambilica,

I understand what you mean - this is the main reason why MetaMod Pro was created. The "module inside a module" system that MetaMod uses has one major problem, and MetaMod Pro solves this.

The problem is that if you publish any module (including MetaMod) into a module position, then many templates will reserve space for that module position. This happens frequently with left and right columns.

So, when your MetaMod in the right column does not include any other modules, your template still thinks that there is a module there. So it reserves some space for it.

See this FAQ for more info about it: http://www.metamodpro.com/support/faq/2 … etamod-was

By far the easiest way to deal with this is to purchase MetaMod Pro. It completely removes the MetaMod module from the module position, and only includes the other modules (that MetaMod includes) when they should actually be there.

This means that templates will no longer see any published modules in the "right" position (in your case) when the MetaMod does not include anything - problem solved.

Hope that helps,
