Metamod and Joomgallery gallery view

Metamod and Joomgallery gallery view

Hi!
First of all congratulations for this nice extension. Very helpful and clean.
I´m trying to use metamod in joomgallery MVC version.
This is what I have:
if ( $option == "com_joomgallery", $view == "gallery" and $Itemid == "3"  ) return 117;
Unfortunly  this is not working.
Can you give me a hand?
Thanks and sorry my English.

!Solved
Thanks

if ( $option == "com_joomgallery" && $view == "gallery" && $Itemid == "3"  ) return "117";

Re: Metamod and Joomgallery gallery view

Yes, you got it smile

When I first started writing MetaMod I used "&&" for "and"ing expressions together. Then I moved to using the word "and" instead. It looks cleaner and is easier for people who don't understand PHP to understand - and it's perfectly legal PHP.

e.g. if ( $option == "com_joomgallery" and $view == "gallery" and $Itemid == "3"  ) return 117;

Re: Metamod and Joomgallery gallery view

Is it possible to make MetaMod show different modules on different Joomgallery categories? Any way of getting hold of the $catid for those....?

Re: Metamod and Joomgallery gallery view

You probably want to use this to get the $catid:

$catid = JRequest::getVar("catid");
if ($option == "com_xxxxxxx" and $catid == "2") return XXX;
// replace XXX with module id to return
// replace com_xxxxxxx with the correct component name for Joomgallery

That's just a guess... I haven't looked at Joomgallery, but this head you in the right direction.

Cheers,
Stephen
