Show menu item if registration email is a Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail one
Show menu item if registration email is a Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail one
I am testing the Invitex plugin and would like to set up a simple trial where my members could invite friends to my site only if their registration email is a Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail one. Doing this would mean that I could set up and explain Invitex in the simplest possible way.
Although I bought/subscribed to Chameleon a while back I have never actually used it.
I use Metamod Pro a lot

Re: Show menu item if registration email is a Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail one
Hi Buzz50,
here's how I would do this:
1 - create a new Chameleon rule
2 - in the main PHP box (not the one in the Succeed/Fail actions), use the following PHP:
if ($core_genius->check("useremail contains @hotmail., @yahoo., @gmail.")) return true;
3 - then in the Succeed action, select the menu item that you want to disable, in the "unpublish menus and menu items" control.
The reason I didn't put in "@yahoo.com" is that there are lots of different Yahoo domains (.co.uk etc), so you can catch all of them by searching for "@yahoo.".
Hope that helps,
Stephen
