Can't get it to work as expected

Hi - I have a language switching extension that translates the site to various subdomains. So, for example, fr.domain.com es.domain.com de.domain.com and so forth. Now, if someone clicks on the language flag and goes to one of these translated sites, I want chameleon to simply change the virtuemart currency.. I'm trying this -- JRequest::setVar("product_currency","EUR");

On the left hand side, detection, I'm trying under 'domain names' fr.domain.com .. I've tried [ 'page url' contains fr. ]. I've tried using the language detection, so if the language is 'fr' then to change the currency to euro. But it's staying in £GBP! What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help in advance, driving me potty.. I've tried my best sad Tried using recipes off the site and random php detection too, but no joy.

Hi fewleh,

can you please indicate what version of Joomla, VM and Chameleon you are using?

Also it's a good idea to turn on Chameleon's Debug mode. You can find that in the "options" button on the Chameleon Rule Chain page. Using that, view the pages on the front end of your site and examine the debug output that appears. This may give you a much better idea of what rules are being attempted and what the results are. You may find that there's something in one of the early rules that is causing it to completely bypass all the rules you've put in... or something like that!
