Compatibility with latest VM 2.0.18a
Hi Stephen,
As already discussed there are some issues with latest VM versions which make Chameleon not working for us, loooking forward to some fixes. At the moment we have noted the following problems:
1. To all prices 1 euro (our store's default currency) is added.
2. The correct shopper group multiple price is not fetched for the login user.
3. When a user (registered only) clicks on "Submit Review" he gets redirected to the home page and no review is submitted.
4. In joomla's login module, when a customer inputs his email to retrieve his password or username, nothings happens, he simply gets redirected in the homepage (no error msgs, no email sending etc..)
For items 3/4, it seems that for some reason POST requests are redirected with 303 code to the homepage.
All above issues are solved when we turn Chameleon's plugins OFF.
We'd appreciate your assistance!

The latest version of Chameleon, 2.29, now has improved compatibility with VM2.0.18a. I have been unable to replicate the problems above after installing v2.29. Can you please now test with 2.29 and let me know if there are any other issues?

Thanks for version 2.2.9! We are currently checking and noticed the following:

When a wholesale user (xondriki/xondriki) logs in, he still sees the retail price and not wholesale. However, if i disable chameleon plugins, he can see the wholesale price.

Youch, not good, sorry for the continuing problems. Can I please ask for some more details:
1 - are you using the "set shopper group" feature in the Succeed or Fail actions in any Chameleon rule?
2 - can you please turn on Chameleon's "debug" mode (it's in the Options on the rules list page), and retry the Submit Review and Login problems? Then can you send the debug output so I can see what parts of Chameleon are being run?
3 - do you get all the same errors if ALL the Chameleon rules are unpublished, but the plugins are turned on?

No worries, i'm sure we'll sort these out
1 - Correct, all our Chameleon rules are set for not-logged in users only and use the "set shopper group" feature in the Succeed actions.
2 - After i click on the Submit button at the forgot username page for example, i get:

3 - Interesting; if the rules are unpublished but the plugins are published everything works ok again

1 - I can't replicate the problems with getting the username/forgot password on my site. These work perfectly on my test site, and on your site at present. I'll need some more access to your site to see what's going on in there (have sent you a PM). It's a pretty strange one - there's not much in Chameleon that could interfere with these.
2 - how do you set up the "shopper group multiple price"? Is that one of the standard tax & calculation rules, or a 3rd-party addition? If so which extension?

1. Correct, this is because we have disabled chameleon for now; just check your PM, you can now login in our site
2. We are using VM2 native tax and calc rules, not any 3rd party extension. You can have a look when you login.

Finally found the answer to the redirect problem:
- you need to put the system plugin for "System - ARTIO JoomSEF" above the one for "System - Chameleon" in the list. That means it needs a LOWER ordering number. I suggest -99 for the JoomSEF plugin and -90 for Chameleon.
This is the same solution as for people using sh404SEF (the sh404SEF plugin needs to go before the Chameleon one).
