My question is about just getting metamod to work, this is my second attempt at it and I just cant get it, its frustrating because I see all the great feedback on the JED so i know it has to work but I don't see anything about setting it up for 2.5.. anyway hes what I have tried.

I installed with extension manager (no problems).
Go to the module manager and set it to the position I want it in (aside).
Enable metamod.
Hide the title.
Module assignemt = one page(a VM category menu item).
The first basic option I set up is the quick module position or id, I set "96" the id of the module I want to display in aside.
then for the PHP I type....

$vm = JomGenius("virtuemart");
if ( $vm->check( "pagetype = productdetails" ) ) return 96;

I want the module 96 to appear only on product pages.

Hopefully this is all the info you need and hopefully you see what I am doing wrong.
