Custom search results Joomla 1.6

Hello!

I need very much to customize the search results using Joomla 1.6. Actually, I need to have the search result in a custom page I have created. Is it possible? Any ideas will be appreciated.

Hi calexpacheco,

I think that the problem might be solved by creating a menu item for the Search component, on a hidden menu (or non-hidden if you want to show it in public). Then the search results should show up on the page linked to from that menu item. In that way you can assign templates or modules to that menu item, and they will show up on the search and search results pages.
