Will Chameleon help me do this with Languages?

Hi Stephen,

I'm a long time MetaMod user and I'm interested in Chameleon.

I am wondering if Chameleon will allow me to switch the Joomla Core Language i.e. the language of the warnings, etc based on domain name.

I have a number of domains pointing at a single Joomla, .co.uk, .ie and .de.

I'd like Joomla to switch the core language based on these domains, will Chameleon do this?

HI Ray,

yes, I've had success in doing this. However, there are some differences with J1.5 and J2.5. Can you tell me what Joomla version you are using?

Ok, looks like the method that the languagechanger plugin uses has changed since J1.7... this is going to take some more research, sorry.

Hi Ray - good news, a new version of Chameleon (2.26) out today has support for what you are asking for. There are some "gotchas", but I think it's pretty good.

Sorry for the delay on this Stephen.. I've got majorly sidetracked on this project! (Bloody JavaScript nightmares!)

I will download Chameleon today and get testing!
