This privacy policy applies to your use of the www.metamodpro.com website.

The terms "we" and "us" refer to Brandon IT Consulting. The terms "you" and "your" refer to you, as a user of the Site. The term "personal information" means information that you provide to us which allows you to be contacted or identified, such as your name, phone number, email address, and any other data that is tied to such information.

BY USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THE SITE.

I. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We use reasonable efforts to ensure that the collection of personal information is limited to that which is necessary to fulfill the purposes identified below. If we use your information in a manner different than the purpose for which it is collected, then we will ask you for your consent prior to such use.

Account information. If you create an account to take advantage of the full range of services offered on the Site, we ask for and record personal information such as your name and email address. We use your email address to send you updates and news, and contact you on behalf of other users (such as other users who send you personal messages).

Forum. We store and may publicly display your posts to the forum. When we display your posts, we do so together with your login name, which links to any other information that you have decided to share in your profile.

Feedback. If you contact us to provide feedback, register a complaint, or ask a question, we will record any personal information and other content that you provide in your communication so that we can effectively respond to your communication.

Personal messaging. In order to allow you to send and receive personal messages to other registered users of the Site, we record the messages that you send and receive using the Site's personal messaging feature.

Brandon IT Consulting may take information (in particular, MetaMod "recipes", programming techniques and administration techniques) that you provide in forum posts and use it in site articles, published "recipes", documentation or in any other form on this site, on other sites, or to be distributed with software. We may not always include acknowledgements of the origin of the source material.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties in a good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) take action regarding suspected illegal activities; (b) enforce or apply our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; (c) comply with legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order; or (d) protect our rights, reputation, and property, or that of our users or the public. Please note that we are not required to question or contest the validity of any search warrant, subpoena or other similar governmental request that we receive.

We use third party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit the Site. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.

The Site may contain links to third party websites to which we have no affiliation. Except as set forth herein, we do not share your personal information with those third parties, and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We suggest you read the privacy policies on all such third party websites.

IV. Controlling Your Personal Data

To the extent you include personal information within your submissions (such as a photo of yourself), third parties may be able to identify you, associate you with your user account, and contact you. Third parties may also be able to associate you with your user account using the "User List" feature on the Site, but only if you include information in your submissions that allow the third party to distinguish you from other users. Please do not include information in your submissions that you expect to keep private. In addition, you can reduce the risk of being personally identified by choosing a fictitious account name.

Although your full name is required to sign up for the service, only your login name (tag) is displayed within the forum system, unless you choose to include your full name in your signature or in a post.

Please also note that the personal messages you send or receive using the Site's personal messaging feature are only private to the extent that you and the sender/recipient keep them private. For example, we do not have any control over whether a recipient of one of your personal messages publicly posts the contents of such a message.

As a registered user, you can modify some of your personal information and your privacy preferences by accessing the "My Account" section of this website, and from the "My Profile" section of the Forums.

If you close your account, we may still retain your personal information in our systems.

V. Security

Your account is password protected. We use standard measures to protect the personal information that is stored in our database. If you have any questions about the security on the Site, please contact us. Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that your personal information will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

You hereby acknowledge that Brandon IT Consulting is not responsible for any intercepted information sent via the internet, and you hereby release us from any and all claims arising out of or related to the use of intercepted information in any unauthorized manner.

We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, and we will post any new versions on this page.
